History
“MultiKultiUA” was founded in 2009 by the Ukrainian student Oleg Roy and DAAD lecturer Martin Reuther in Kharkiv. It is registered as a non-governmental organisation based in Kharkiv, in the eastern part of Ukraine.
Until 2010, the NGO was headed by Oleg Roy, a student at Yaroslav Mudyi National Law University and Karazin National University. For many years now, Oleg has been living in Bejing, China, where he works as an artist and musician, actively promoting Ukrainian culture. Moreover, Oleg is China representative of company FED.
From 2010 until 2017 Serhiy Savitsky was head of the NGO; he has been a friend of our NGO since its beginning and did a lot to keep it working. Serhij has received a PhD in Engineering and is now business man. He is active member of the Rotary movement Ukraine.
Since Маy 2017 our NGO is run by Taras Zhyvokorvenets. He is currently the main coordinator of the Software and Computer Museum in Kyiv and Kharkiv. The museum also has an Educational Center, which provides opportunities for people aged 40+ to learn to work with a computer.
2020 is the year of reforming, renewing and rebranding of our organization. We plan to become bigger and go deeper in multicultural and diversity matters; we plan to open a regional office (Western Branch) in Rivne and to foster all-Ukrainian cooperation with new partners.
This process has been initiated by our founding member, Martin Reuther; as we plan, he will become new Head of our NGO in the second half of the year andrun our Western Branch in Rivne.
